Definition: A seizure is abnormal electrical activity in the brain that can result in sudden, uncontrolled body movements and changes in behavior and sometimes loss of consciousness. Some seizures have more mild symptoms and may not even be noticed. Seizures can be caused by injuries, infections, high fevers, or an underlying condition.
