الفرقة البحرية السادسة (الولايات المتحدة)
الفرقة البحرية السادسة كانت فرقة مشاة تابعة لقوات مشاة البحرية الأمريكية خلال الحرب العالمية الثانية تشكلت في سبتمبر 1944. أثناء غزو أوكيناوا، شهدت قتالًا في جبل ياي وشوغر لوف هيل وحصلت على وسام الوحدة الرئاسي. استعدت الفرقة السادسة أيضًا لغزو اليابان قبل انتهاء الحرب. بعد الحرب خدمت في تسينغاتو، الصين حتى جرى حلها في 1 أبريل 1946، لتصبح الفرقة البحرية الوحيدة التي تُشكل وتُحل في الخارج ولم يكن لها موضع قدم في الولايات المتحدة.[2]
