1915 Washington State football team
The 1915 Washington State football team represented Washington State College during the 1915 college football season as an independent. The offense scored 204 points while the defense allowed only ten points, with five shutouts. Led by head coach William Dietz, the team won all seven games, including the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day in Pasadena, California.[1]

For the first of two consecutive years, Washington State did not play in-state rival Washington.
In 2014, Washington State Senate Resolution 8715 recognized the 1915 Washington State College football team as national champions.[2] The resolution on the team's 99th anniversary was sponsored by State Senator Michael Baumgartner, an alumnus of WSU. The senate resolution was adopted with WSU head football coach Mike Leach in attendance.

Home-coming this year will be October 19 when Babe Hollingbery's stalwarts entertain their most bitter rival, the University of Washington. Every member of the '15 team who can be mustered back will take part in the special alumni feature celebrating the 20th anniversary of winning the mythical football championship. Under the shrewd direction of Coach William (Lone Star) Dietz, Washington State drove to the Pacific northwest championship. Without a setback, the eleven triumphed over Oregon, Oregon State, Whitman, Montana, Gonzaga and Idaho then beat the highly touted Brown team, 14 to 0 on New Year's day. A total of 204 points was made against 10 for the opposition during the season.
