2019–20 Liga IV Buzău

The 2019–20 Liga IV Buzău was the 52nd season of the Liga IV Buzău, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. The season began on 24 August 2019[1][2] and was scheduled to end in June 2020, but was suspended in March because of the COVID-19 pandemic in Romania.

AJF Buzău intended to end the season with a play-off between the first four ranked teams,[3] but he came to the conclusion that the teams cannot comply with the medical protocol[4] and decided to declare Râmnicu Sărat the county champion and the representative of Buzău County at the promotion play-off to Liga III.[5]

  1. As the season was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Tulcea County champion, Pescărușul Sarichioi withdrew from the 2020–21 Liga III promotion play-off, due to the medical expenses needed to comply with the medical protocol.[6]
