Group stage

The 5 clubs start in one group stage. Over the course of the group stage, each team plays once against the others in the group, resulting in each team being guaranteed four group games. Two points are awarded for a win, one for a draw and zero for a loss. The teams are ranked in the group stage table by points gained, then scoring difference and then their head-to-head record. The top three teams in the group qualify for the knockout stage.

Knockout stage

Following the completion of the group stage, the teams from the group are ranked (1-3) in terms of points accumulated and scoring difference. The top team qualifies straight to the final and the next two teams qualify for the semi-final.

Semi-finals: Teams designated 2nd and 3rd from the group stage contest this round. The winner from this game advances to the final.

Final: The group stage winners and the semi-final winner contest the final. The winning team are declared champions and qualify to the 2023–24 Connacht Junior Club Hurling Championship.
