Reception

The All About Jazz review by Edward Blanco awarded the album 4½ stars and simply states: "The music can be described as traditional straight-ahead jazz packing quite a punch for a standard piano trio. There's little doubt about this one, it certainly is A Step Into Light as evidenced by the sound and magic produced by The MUH Trio, European jazz mastery at its best."[1] The All About Jazz review by Jack Bowers awarded the album 4 stars and simply states: "A Step Into Light blends pleasing variety with solid rapport and astute solos. You can't ask for more than that from any trio."[2]
