Abdul Mottaleb Akanda was a Bangladesh Nationalist Party politician and the former Member of Parliament of Gaibandha-4.

Career

Mottaleb Akanda was renowned for his charismatic contribution in education sector and welfare in North Bengal (gaibandha, gabindaganj)region of Bangladesh.Later, Akanda was elected to parliament from Gaibandha-4 as a Bangladesh Nationalist Party candidate in 2001.[1] He diverted flood relief to Mahimaganj Union,even though the union voted for Abdul Latif Prodhan, a Bangladesh Awami League politician (opposition party leader at that time), chairman of the Union Parishad.[2]

Death

Akanda died on 11 March 2006 from a heart attack.[3]
