Her first book was published in 2015, and by March 2020 had sold 225,000 books.[4] Saving Neverland published in 2023 is a sequel to J M Barrie's, Peter Pan. Elphinstone has imagined her own Neverland but retained some of the creatures from Barrie's classic story.[5]
