Adelheid Rupp

Adelheid Rupp (born 16 September 1958 in Geislingen an der Steige, Germany)[1] is a German politician (The Left, former SPD). She is state chairwomean of her party in Bavaria.

Early life

Adelheid Rupp visited the International School Vientiane in Laos and Gymnasium Göppingen and Internat Sigmaringen. She studied at PH Esslingen to become a teacher and switchted 1987 to LMU München to study law. Up from 1995 she worked as a lawer. From 1989 to 1994 Rupp was adviser at SPD-fraction in Landtag of Bavria. Up from 2006 she was chairwomean of the Socialdemocrativ womean organisation (ASF) within SPD. In 2007 she became chairwomean of SPD in Bavaria.[1]

Political career

In 2003 she was elected to Landtag of Bavaria and was re-elected two times.[2]

After not holding any political office for a few years, she left the SPD and joined the Left Party in August 2020. At a state party conference of The Left in Bavaria in October 2022, she was elected state spokeswoman alongside Kathrin Flach Gomez. She ran as her party's top candidate in the 2023 state elections.[3]
