Aella (data scientist)

Aella is an American data scientist,[1][2] writer, and former influencer[3] known for her research on sex work and her Substack newsletter.[4] She formerly operated her own OnlyFans account[5] that earned her as much as $100,000 per month.[6]

Career

Aella runs her own Substack letter called 'Knowingless'.[7] Aella is an outspoken supporter of sex workers' rights and engages in debates[8] with prominent public figures in support of the position that prostitution should be legalized or decriminalized in her view.[9] Aella has been described as a "rationalist sex researcher" and has conducted research with crowd polls regarding how polyamorous the polled individuals were.[10]

Aella has defended Backpage and stated that the site worked heavily with law enforcement in order to try not to violate the rights of minors or to prevent sexual abuse prior to the site being shut down.[8]

Aella has also spoken favorably of Pornhub for supporting different levels of kink or fetishes and protecting the rights of content producers from having their content "stolen" and re-broadcast on other pages across the internet.[8]

Aella's political positions have been described as libertarian.[11]

Aella has appeared on the popular Lex Fridman podcast.[12]
