Al Saeed University

Al Saeed University is a university in Taiz, Yemen. It was established in 2004 with two departments, the holy Quran sciences, and Islamic legislature.

In view of the growth of the labor market and the increase of its qualified and specialized competencies, the Board of Trustees adopted the project of opening new sections within the so-called Applied and Medical Sciences. The University has become a scientific institution with several faculties, which was approved by the Ministry of Higher Education in 2013. The university was funded by Hayel Saeed Anam Group.[1] Biochemist Eqbal Dauqan was Head of the Department of Medical Laboratories Sciences.[2] In 2015, the university was bombed as part of the Yemeni Civil War, causing it to shut down.[3]
