Alsim Chernoskulov

Alsim Leonidovich Chernoskulov (Russian: Альсим Леонидович Черноскулов; born 11 May 1983) is a Russian sambist and judoka. He is a sixfold World Champion in sambo.[1] He is also a ninefold Russian National Champion.[2]

In this name that follows Eastern Slavic naming conventions, the patronymic is Leonidovich and the family name is Chernoskulov.

Alsim's father Leonid enjoyed Vasily Zhukovsky's ballade "Alina and Alsim" and so named his daughter and son after the personages.[3]
