Amanda Davies (geographer)
Amanda Davies is an Australian social scientist.
She is Professor and Head of School at the School of Social Sciences, the University of Western Australia,[1] and Adjunct Professor at Curtin University's School of Molecular and Life Sciences.[2]
Her work focuses on demography, population geography and rural and regional development[3] and has attracted public commentary.[4][5][6]
Davies began her position at UWA in 2020, prior to which she was Senior Lecturer in the Department of Planning and Geography at Curtin University.[7]
In 2016 she and Samantha Hall were part of a mission to Antarctica.[8][9][10]
