Angel Bonanni

Ángel Bonanni (Hebrew: אנחל בונני;Montevideo,Uruguay 7 February 1972) is an uruguayan-israeli actor and model.[1][2] He is known for his role as Assassin Deacon Mailer in the series Condor, and as Detective Tommy Gibbs in the series Absentia.

Biography

Bonanni was born in Montevideo, but with his family they moved to Australia, returning to Uruguay when he was 5 years old, living until he was 11, then moving to Israel.

Personal life

He married Andrea Leitersdorf in 2014, and they had two children.
After a brief stint as a soccer player in Australia, he became an actor.

Before she was 20, she returned to Uruguay and began a career in the world of modeling. That profession took him through United States and Europe, and little by little acting began to make way for him among his main interests.

Bonanni is not a new face for Hollywood and these days she is filming episodes of the series Shots Fired, on the Fox network.

The director of the film is the Brazilian José Padilha, who also directed Tropa de Elite, RoboCop and is responsible for the production of the successful series Narcos. A month ago, Padilha was in Israel and carried out casting tests with local actors, which is expected to add more Israeli names to the Entebbe production.

The Entebbe Operation not only shocked public opinion in 1976, but also Hollywood, which dedicated three feature films to it. Victory at Entebbe, starring none other than Elizabeth Taylor, Anthony Hopkins, Burt Lancaster and Richard Dreyfuss. Raid on Entebbe, directed by Irvin Kershnery, starring Charles Bronson and Peter Finch and Operation Yonathan, directed by Menahem Golan and starring Yehoram Gaon, in the role of Yoni Netanyahu.

He worked in the Argentine soap opera, Solamente vos, who plays the role of Boris Krakof, an attractive chef who seeks to conquer the heart of Aurora (Natalia Oreiro), and in the process, make Juan jealous (Adrián Suar). This being his first work in spanish.

Modeling, film and music career

Bonnani began his career as a top model, appearing in fashion campaigns for Jean Paul Gaultier, Donna Karan and Banana Republic as well as appearing in magazines such as Harper’s Bazaar.[3][4]

Bonanni was cast in English language films and television productions from the 2010s.[5] Bonanni played Yoni Netanyahu in Seven Days in Entebbe.[6] He has had lead or recurring roles in Condor, Absentia, Shots Fired and False Flag.[7][8]

In 2012 Bonanni branched out into music, releasing an album with a collaborator, Gal Padeh.[9] The duo released music in English and used the name Project Passport. Their debut single, 'Borrowed Time' is featured in the 2015 English-language Israeli horror film, JeruZalem.
