Arpaș
The Arpaș (Hungarian: Árpás-patak) is a left tributary of the river Olt in Romania.[1][2] It discharges into the Olt in Arpașu de Jos.[3] Its source is in the Făgăraș Mountains. Its length is 25 km (16 mi) and its basin size is 82 km2 (32 sq mi).[2]

Hydronymy
The Hungarian name means "barley". The Romanian name derives from that.
