Artyom Levshunov
Artyom Levshunov (Belarusian: Арцём Леўшуноў, born October 28, 2005) is a Belarusian junior ice hockey defenceman for the Michigan State Spartans of the NCAA.[1][2] Levshunov will be eligible for the 2024 NHL Entry Draft and is projected as a top 10 prospect in the draft.[3]

Before moving to America, Levshunov debuted internationally with the Belarus men's junior team in the Division 1A WJC Championship. Levshunov helped the team win a gold medal with 2 assists in 5 games.[4] Levshunov was selected 111th overall in the 8th round of the 2022 USHL Entry Draft and signed with the Green Bay Gamblers for the 2022–23 USHL season after scoring 25 goals and 38 assists in 63 games playing for Team Belarus U17 in the Vysshaya Liga in Belarus.[5] After signing with the Gamblers, he quickly earned his first USHL Defencemen of the Week on November 9, 2022, for scoring 2 goals and 3 assists in 2 games.[6] On March 20, 2023, Levshunov earned his second USHL Defenceman of the Week with 1 goal and 3 assists in 2 games.[7] Levshunov posted 13 goals throughout the season, placing in third for most goals in the USHL by a defenceman that year.[8] After getting knocked out in the first round by the Dubuque Fighting Saints, Levshunov was named to the USHL First All-Rookie Team and the Third All-USHL Team.[8][9]
Levshunov committed to play for Michigan State University over the 2023 offseason.[10]
On October 7, 2023, Levshunov made his debut for the Spartans against Lake Superior State.[11] The next day, he recorded his first NCAA goal and assist against Lake Superior State.[11]
