It was to promote the Third Victory Loan and was broadcast througbout Australia in primetime.[3] Barclay was the leading radio writer in Australia at the time.[4]

Premise
"Because one man forgot to tap with a hammer, a ship was wrecked at the moment of her launching. Confident of success, a boxer did not train for a fight."[6]
