Ashkar Hasbollah

Ashkar bin Hasbollah is a Malaysian politician from USNO. He was the Member of Parliament for Marudu from 1978 to 1982 and the Member of Sabah State Legislative Assembly for Tempasuk from 1976 to 1981.

In this Malay name, there is no family name. The name Hasbollah is a patronymic, and the person should be referred to by the given name, Ashkar. The Arabic-derived word "bin" or "binti"/"binte", if used, means 'son of' or 'daughter of', respectively.
