Balbharati is publishing integrated textbooks for Class I to Class VII.In this type of textbook all subjects are included in one book and that book is splitted into 4 parts according to unit tests. This decision was taken from the academic year 2023-24 to reduce load of school bags of students. Also after every page a blank page is added so that students could note down some important points, new word & their meanings, etc as per guidance of their teachers.

The Institute

The institute was established by the Government of Maharashtra on 27 January 1967. This was as per the recommendations of the Kothari Commission. This is to improve the quality of textbooks for Stds. I to VIII, and to make textbooks available at a reasonable price. Balbharati institute is an autonomous body registered under the Public Trusts Act 1950 and the Societies Registration Act, 1860.
