Beno Axionov

Axionov was born in Minsk, to father Max Shakhnovich Fishman[5][6][7][8][9] and mother Lidia Axionova.[10][11] At age 5 he moved to Kishinyov, now Chișinău, the capital of Moldova. He studied at the Moldova State Institute of Arts and the Leningrad University of Theater, Music and Cinematography, then continued his studies in Moscow at the Maria Knebel's Graduate Laboratory of Directing.[12][13]

From 1969 to 1973 he worked as an actor and director assistant in Tiraspol.[14] From 1973 to 2006 he worked as an actor and director in Kishinyov.[15][16][17]. From 1971 to 1985 he was a drama teacher at the Moldovan State Institute of Arts. During this time he continued acting and presenting on television. He has starred in 20 films and more than 200 stage roles, and directored more than 60 performances.[2][18][19]

In 1991, he was awarded with the title Honored Artist of the Republic of Moldova.[20][21][22]

Since 2007 he has lived in Karlsruhe, Germany.[23][24][25][26][27][28][29][30][31][32][33][34][35][36][37][38][39][40].
