Blaydon and Consett (UK Parliament constituency)
Blaydon and Consett is a proposed constituency of the House of Commons in the UK Parliament. Further to the completion of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, it will first be contested at the next general election.[1]
Contents
The constituency will comprise approximately half the electorate of each of the current (to be abolished) constituencies of Blaydon and North West Durham and will include the following communities:
- Blaydon, Rowlands Gill and Ryton from the Borough of Gateshead in Tyne and Wear
- Consett, Leadgate and Burnopfield from County Durham
