Boy Spyce

Gbekile David Osemeke (born 10 May 2001), known professionally as Boy Spyce, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He is widely known for his melodic music flow and combinations.

Early life

Osemeke was born on 10 May 2001 in Edo State, Nigeria. He was raised in Jakande Estate, Oshodi-Isolo.[1]

Education

Osemeke attended the Lagos State Model College Kankon, Badagry. During his time there, he represented the school in music competitions. After sitting his O-level under the West Africa Examinations Council, Osemeke was accepted to study accounting at university.[1]

Career

Osemeke began his musical career making covers of popular songs and posting them on social media. The most successful of these was his cover of "Essence" by Wizkid.[2] The cover brought Osemeke to the attention of Don Jazzy, the CEO of Mavin Records, who signed him for the label. On 23 April 2022, Osemeke released his debut EP, the eponymous Boy Spyce.[3] Osemeke was a singer on Mavin Records' tenth anniversary single, "Won Da Mo".[4]
