Brendan Keegan

Brendan P. Keegan is an American business executive and author who has been the chief executive officer of Merchants Fleet since 2018.[1][2][3]

Early life and education

Keegan was born and raised in Nashua, New Hampshire.[4] He received his early education from the Bishop Guertin High School.[4] During his time at Guertin, he led the senior class all four years, played football, basketball, and baseball, and was active in student government and community service.[4] He holds a bachelor's degree from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from the George Washington University.[5][2]

Keegan became a distinguished fellow of Dartmouth College in November 2013.[6]

Career

Keegan joined Merchants Fleet in 2009 as a board member.[5] He is has been the CEO of Merchants Fleet since 2018.[2] He is well known within the fleet industry for his role in defining the new subset of the industry called FleetTech and reshaping the company's business model.[5] Previously, he was the chief sales officer of Electronic Data Systems (EDS) and was included in the Fortune 100 list.[5][7]

In 2020, Merchants Fleet was included in the Inc. 5000 list.[8] Two years later, in 2022, Merchants Fleet was named in the World's Most Innovative Companies list by Fast Company.[9]

As a philanthropist, he is the founder of Keegan Family Courage & Faith Foundation,[10] he has established the Barbara Keegan Arts Center, named after her mother, at St. Christopher's and the Keegan Leadership Center at the Bishop Guertin High School.[4]

As an author, Keegan has written articles for Inc.,[11] Fast Company,[12] Entrepreneur,[13] Newsweek,[14] Harvard Business Review.[15] In 2023, his book, The FUD Factor, was published.[16] The book was reviewed by Kirkus Reviews.[16]
