Brenna Thummler

Brenna Thummler is an American author of multiple graphic novels. Thummler writes her novels for young adults in which she draws on her own experiences to address mental health.[1]

Biography

Thummler grew up in Meadville, Pennsylvania.[2][3] She attended Ringling College of Art and Design where she achieved the title Zankel Scholar during her junior year. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2015.[3]

Since graduation, Thummler has done editorial and advertising work for The New York Times, The Washington Post, Razorfish, and Empathic Films LLC.[4][5]

In 2017, Thummler published her first graphic novel, Anne of Green Gables, which was adapted by Mariah Marsden. Since then, she has published her own series of graphic novels. The first graphic novel of the trilogy, Sheets was published in 2018, followed by Delicates in 2021. The third and final book of the series, Lights was published in September 2023.[2]
