Central District (Aslan Duz County)

The Central District of Aslan Duz County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان اصلاندوز) is in Ardabil province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Aslan Duz.

At the National Census in 2006, its population (as Aslan Duz Rural District and the city of Aslan Duz in Parsabad County) was 19,234 in 3,669 households.[3] The following census in 2011 counted 20,673 people in 5,020 households.[4] At the latest census in 2016, there were 24,057 inhabitants in 6,473 households.[2]

In 2017, Aslan Duz District was separated from Parsabad County, elevated to the status of a county with the city of Aslan Duz as its capital, and divided into two districts of two rural districts each.[5]
