Shimbay district
Shimbay district (Karakalpak: Шымбай районы, Shımbay rayonı) is a district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The capital lies at the city Shimbay.[1] In 2019, part of its territory was given to the re-established Bozataw district.[2] Its area is 1,440 km2 (560 sq mi)[3] and it had 114,000 inhabitants in 2022.[4]
