Chiyo Nakamura

Nakamura Chiyo (Japanese: 中村チヨ; 1906 – 1969)[1] was a Japanese writer of Nivkh origin.

She was born in Sakhalin. She married Wysk Wonη (ウシク・ウーヌ). In 1947, she and her husband were re-located to Hokkaido. After that, she lived in Iwanai for two years and then moved to Abashiri.

Her main work is Gilliak's Old Story (Japanese: ギリヤークの昔話).
