Career

Alongside his solo work,[4] Corsano has performed on over one hundred records[1][3] with artists including Evan Parker,[5] Sunburned Hand of the Man,[6] Six Organs of Admittance,[7] Dredd Foole,[8] Bill Orcutt,[9] Kim Gordon,[9] Björk (on the studio recording and world tour for Volta),[10] Thurston Moore,[11] Jim O'Rourke,[12] Jandek,[13] Matt Valentine,[10] Nels Cline,[14] Vibracathedral Orchestra,[15] Cold Bleak Heat,[16] Michael Flower,[17] C. Spencer Yeh,[18] Mette Rasmussen,[19] John Edwards,[20] Sylvie Courvoisier,[21] Okkyung Lee,[22] and Nate Wooley.[23]

Corsano has performed with saxophonist Paul Flaherty for more than twenty years and on more than twenty records in a style they call "The Hated Music."[1][24] He has also recorded several albums each with Rangda (trio with Sir Richard Bishop and Ben Chasny),[25] Chikamorachi (duo with Darin Gray),[26] and Vampire Belt (duo with Bill Nace).[27]

Corsano received a Foundation for Contemporary Arts Grants to Artists award in 2017.[1]
