Civita, Calabria
Civita (Arbërisht: Çifti) is a hilltown and comune in the province of Cosenza in the Calabria region of southern Italy. Facing the Ionian Sea, it is part of the Pollino National Park. It is a member of the I Borghi più belli d'Italia ("The most beautiful villages of Italy") association.[3]

It was founded in the 15th century by Albanian refugees from the Ottoman invasion. The Civitesi are part of an ethnic minority (Arbëreshë) officially recognized by the Italian laws.
