Cochlicopa

Cochlicopa, whose species are known as pillar snails, is a genus of small air-breathing land snails, terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusks in the family Cochlicopidae. [3]

This genus is prevalent in the Northern Hemisphere across the United States, Mexico and Europe. These snails feed mostly on plant matter, detritus and fungi.[4]
