Competitions
The USASA National Amateur Cup
The National Amateur Cup is the most prestigious and longest running tournament for all of amateur soccer in the entire country, crowning its first champion, Fleisher Yarn in 1924.
This national tournament has a rich history alongside its companion tournament, the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup, that has been in existence since 1914.
The significance of both these tournaments is that the winner of the National Amateur Cup is given a direct ticket to the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup national stage.
Due to FIFA and CONCACAF ruling for the United States Soccer Federation and its neighboring federations, the champions for the US Open Cup would then get a chance at lifting the CONCACAF Champions Cup and, then if that is achieved, the club is given the opportunity to compete in the FIFA Club World Cup.
To crown a champion of the National Amateur Cup Tournament, a winner must come out of the four regional champions.
The USASA is made up of four regions nationwide, east to west - and each region is to crown a champion after a process where the Regional Associations assist the affiliated State Associations to a single elimination tournament with all of the state affiliated clubs. After that is complete the state champions are then to progress to a single elimination tournament with the other State Associations for the Regional's Cup; which then gives them one of four slots to the Official National Amateur Cup Tournament for the Fritz Marth Trophy.
Hank Steinbrecher Cup
In 2013, USASA began a competition to pit the champions of the different men's amateur competitions (USASA National Amateur Cup, National Premier Soccer League, USL League Two and defending Hank Steinbrecher Cup holder) against each other for the title of "Champions of Champions"
