Country Junction
Country Junction is a retail store located in Forest Inn, Pennsylvania, near Lehighton. It began in 1984 as The Service Team Insulation and Construction Company before adding hardware sales and a home center to its business. In 1997, the store was renamed Country Junction and expanded further to include home, garden, gifts, and decor items.
The main building of the store is known as "The World's Largest General Store" and has become a popular tourist destination. The store is known for its animated figures, life-size statuary, and themed areas such as "Pirates Cove," "A Bit of Italy," "The Wharf," and a rainforest. It also features wildlife exhibits, a restaurant with a theater, a coffee shop, and a petting zoo.
In October 2006, the family-owned retail store in Lehighton was destroyed by a fire. However, the store reopened in a temporary location on the adjacent property and continued to offer lumberyard, pet shop, home decor items, hardware, and rentals to customers. In June 2009, the store's owner began rebuilding the Lehighton store, and the newly rebuilt store opened on February 13, 2010. The new store offers a wide range of items, from food and household goods to home improvement supplies and taxidermy.
