Films

His journey as a filmmaker commenced with the 2010 release of "Break Ke Baad[2]," a comedy-drama film starring Deepika Padukone[3] and Imran Khan[4]. This marked his debut as a director in the Indian film industry. The critical response to 'Break Ke Baad' was positive to mixed, with critics praising the film's fresh take on the romantic comedy genre[5] and its surprisingly modern depiction of young adult relationships[6].

Currently, he is in the final stages of completing "Khwabon Ka Jhamela[7]" a feature film for Jio Studios, where he serves as both the writer and director. The film features an ensemble cast, including Prateik Babbar, Sayani Gupta and Kubbra Sait.

Web Series

He has worked on projects for various digital platforms. His most recent work includes the well-reviewed[8] episode ("She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not[9]") in the Netflix anthology series "Feels Like Ishq[10]," featuring Saba Azad.

Among his earlier web series, one of the standout works is the critically acclaimed "Flesh[11]". This series starred Swara Bhaskar, Akshay Oberoi, Mahima Makwana, Vidya Malwade, and Yudhishtar Urs[12] and was produced by Siddharth Anand for Eros Now.

As a director and co-writer, Danish Aslam has also made his mark on Voot's digital platform. He directed two seasons of "It's Not That Simple," featuring an ensemble cast that included Swara Bhaskar, Sumeet Vyas, Purab Kohli, Akshay Oberoi, and Vivaan Bhatena. Other notable web series directed by him include "Time Out[13]" (starring Tahir Raj Bhasin and Sarah Jane Dias) for Voot and "The Reunion[14]" (starring Veer Rajwant Singh, Kashmira Irani, KK Raina, and Lillete Dubey) for Zoom Studios.

Television

He has directed shows such as "Siyaasat" (Epic), "Kabhi Aise Geet Gaya Karo" (Disney), "Yeh Hai Aashiqui" (Bindaas), and "Love By Chance" (Bindaas).

Music Video

He has directed a music video for the song "Baadshah" sung by Pratyul Joshi and released by T-Series. The video was shot in Mauritius and also starred Pallavi Sharda in it.

In addition to his work behind the camera, Danish Aslam acted in the web series "Kaala" on Hotstar, directed by Bejoy Nambiar, which was released in 2023. He has also acted in a few TV commercials directed by noted ad filmmakers like Vinil Mathew and others.
