Dawid Wegner

Dawid Wegner (born 23 April 2000) is a Polish track and field athlete who competes in the javelin.[1]

Career

From Nakło nad Notecią, he won the Polish U20 championships in the javelin and competed as a junior athlete at the 2017 IAAF World U18 Championships in Nairobi and the 2019 European Athletics U20 Championships in Borås.[2]

In 2021, he qualified for the 2021 European Athletics U23 Championships in Tallinn, Estonia, where he finished fifth overall.[3][4]

In May 2023, Wegner improved his personal best to 80.10m in Kielce.[5] In June 2023, he threw a new personal best distance of 82.21 metres, in Gdańsk.[6] In July 2023, he finished as runner-up in the Polish national championships.[7]

He was selected for the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest in August 2023, and threw 81.25 metres in the qualifying round.[8]
