Digital Place-based Advertising Association

DPAA operates as a non-profit organization that aims to drive growth in the digital out-of-home marketing industry. Established in January 2007 as the Out-of-Home Video Advertising Bureau (OVAB), it later changed its name to the Digital Place-based Advertising Association in 2010 and eventually became known as DPAA in 2017. The association serves as a business accelerator and consultant, providing support to its members, which include digital out-of-home networks, their suppliers, and professionals from the advertising community involved in this media sector.

One of the key events organized by DPAA is the annual 'DPAA Global Summit', formerly known as the 'DPAA Video Everywhere Summit'. This summit takes place in the fall and brings together advertising agency executives, brand managers, networks, and supplier partners. Its purpose is to facilitate discussions and debates surrounding the challenges and opportunities in the digital out-of-home media sector. Typically held during New York Digital Signage Week, the DPAA Global Summit stands out as the sole event of its kind.

Leading DPAA is Barry Frey, who serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer. François de Gaspé Beaubien, Chairman and Chief Coaching Officer of Zoom Media, holds the position of Chairman of DPAA's board of directors.
