Dimitris Pappas

Dimitris Pappas (Greek: Δημήτρης Παππάς; born 7 April 1977) is a Greek former professional footballer who played as a striker.

Club career

Pappas started his career from Haravgi Larissa at a young age impressing in the local league, the Greek fifth division at the time. As a result he received a transfer for former Greek Champions AE Larissa in the summer of 1995. He played 5 games durng his first season with AE Larissa[1] in the 1995-96 Greek first division under coach Giannis Mantzourakis and alongside Cameroon striker David Embé. After 6 years [2] with AE Larissa and playing with players such as Ștefan Stoica, Jean-Pierre Fiala, Serge Honi, Georgios Mitsibonas, Georgios Agorogiannis, Theofanis Gekas, Vangelis Moras, and Konstantinos Mangos, he joined AO Trikala that had just been relegated from Alpha Ethniki. Pappas played for Trikala [3] for only one season and he then moved to Olympiakos Volos.[4] He later played for a few Gamma Ethniki clubs.

In 2012 [5] he took initiative so his first club Haravgi resumes operation under the name AES Haravgi in the Larissa league and he joined as a player-manager signing his former teammate Konstantinos Mangos to the team. He is the club's all-time [6] goalscorer and first in appearances and also acted as a president during several seasons.[7]
