Dongju: The Portrait of a Poet (Korean: 동주; Hanja: 東柱; RR: Dongju) is a 2016 South Korean black-and-white biographical period drama film directed by Lee Joon-ik about Yun Dong-ju.[1][5] It was released in South Korea on February 17, 2016.[1]

Plot

The story follows the life of poet Yun Dong-ju (Kang Ha-neul) and his eventual imprisonment by the Japanese government for being involved in the Korean independence movement.
