Downtown Baton Rouge
Downtown Baton Rouge is the downtown area of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, United States. It contains the city's central business district and the Louisiana State Capitol.[1] The city encompasses virtually all the major office buildings and stretches along the coast of the Mississippi River.[2] Nearby is Louisiana State University and Tiger Stadium. The USS Kidd is docked along the shore for tourists. Downtown is part of the East Baton Rouge Parish. The downtown area has developed a lot in the past 200 years, going from 1,000 to 150,000 residents.[3]
