Drahichyn

Drahichyn (Belarusian: Драгічын; Russian: Дрогичин, romanized: Drogichin; Ukrainian: Дорогичин; Polish: Drohiczyn; Yiddish: דראהיטשין, romanized: Drohichin; Lithuanian: Drohičinas) is a town in Brest Region, Belarus. It serves as the administrative center of Drahichyn District.[1] As of 2023, it has a population of 14,856.[1]

History

The Treaty of Drohiczyn between the city of Riga and the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth was signed in Drahichyn in 1518.
