Femina Miss India South

Femina Miss India South is a beauty pageant established in 2008 for states in South India (Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Telangana). The final winners from each South Indian state are announced at the Miss South India finale event. Each of the winners from the five states will represent their state in the grand finale of the Femina Miss India pageant.[1]

Format

Auditions are held in selected cities in the five states where the top 3 candidates will be chosen. After the selection of the 3 best candidates from the five states, the deserving candidate will be declared representative of that respective state and will be sent to the Femina Miss India grand final.[2]

KERALA — Lakshmi Menon was appointed to compete at Femina Miss India 2019 by the Femina Miss India organisation, as a replacement to Jane Thompson, Femina Miss India Kerala 2019 due to personal reason. Lakshmi Menon was among the Top 3 finalists at the Femina Miss India Kerala 2019 auditions.[4]
  2. KARNATAKA — Swathi Muppala was appointed to compete at Femina Miss India 2017 by the Femina Miss India organisation, as a replacement to Ruhika Das, Femina Miss India Karnataka 2017 due to health issues. Swathi Muppala was among the Top 3 finalists at the Femina Miss India Karnataka 2017 auditions.[5]
  1. TELANGANA — Pragnya Ayyagari was then shotlisted and appointed as Miss Diva Supranational 2022 under Miss India Organisation to represent India at Miss Supranational 2023 pageant in Poland.[3]
