Fernando Navarro (screenwriter)

Fernando Navarro (born 1980) is a Spanish screenwriter. He is also a music critic.[1]

Biography

Fernando Navarro was born in Granada in 1980.[2] After considering to try to become a drummer for a music band, he started writing film screenplays.[3] He has since penned or co-penned the screenplays of Toro, Spy Time, Veronica, Muse,[3] Taxi to Gibraltar,[4] Unknown Origins,[5] Below Zero, A Perfect Enemy,[3] and Venus.[6] He has also formed part of the writing team of television series Matadero and ¿Qué fue de Jorge Sanz?.[5]

He has been nominated twice to the Goya Awards;[7] for Veronica (Best Original Screenplay)[8] and for Unknown Origins (Best Adapted Screenplay).[9]

In 2022, Navarro released his first book, Malaventura, published by Impedimenta.[10][11]
