Frances Berwick
Frances Berwick is a British television executive. She currently serves as Chairman, NBCUniversal Entertainment at NBCUniversal.
Career
Berwick started her career at Channel 4, where she worked on publicity and operations. Part of her role included physically shipping tapes of programming overseas as part of the channel's expansion of international syndication.[1]
Berwick later worked as Vice President of Programming at Bravo. When Bravo was acquired by NBCUniveral, Berwick became general manager, and later president, of the network.[2] Berwick is credited with helping build Bravo into a powerhouse of unscripted television.[3]
Berwick held numerous other roles within NBCUniversal, and in 2020, she was promoted to Chairman of Entertainment Networks for NBCUniversal TV and Streaming.[4] As Chairman, Berwick oversaw program strategy and business operations for NBC, the company's flagship broadcast network, and NBCU's six cable entertainment networks, USA Network, Bravo, E!, Oxygen True Crime, SYFY and Universal Kids.[4]
In 2023, Berwick was promoted to Chairman, NBCUniversal Entertainment. Her portfolio was expanded to include development of original content across broadcast, cable, and the streaming service, Peacock.[5]
Personal life
Berwick has a master's degree from Edinburgh University. She lives in Manhattan with her husband and son.[6]
