Francis Foster (comedian)

Francis Foster (born 1 May 1982) is a British comedian and podcast presenter, best known for co-hosting the Triggernometry podcast with Konstantin Kisin.[1][2][3][4][5][6]

Early life

He was born to an Irish father and Venezuelan mother.[7] He graduated from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.[1]

Foster has been open about his struggle with alcohol dependence.[8]

Career

Foster initially trained and worked as a teacher, specialising in English and drama.[9]

He continued to work as a teacher whilst taking on stand-up comedy gigs.[10]

Whilst working part-time as a comedian, Foster took third place in the 2015 New Acts of the Year Show, which awards emerging comedy and variety acts[11]

As a stand-up, Foster supported Eddie Izzard on his Force Majeure tour, including opening the Spanish shows, including delivering part of his set in Spanish.[12][13]

Podcasting

Foster's first podcast venture was the Probably Offensive podcast, which he hosted in 2017 with Nick Dixon. The show lasted for 23 episodes.[14]

In 2018, Foster set up the Triggernometry podcast with fellow comedian Konstantin Kisin, and as of October 2018 has presented 297 episodes.[4] The channel has over 640k subscribers on YouTube, and has had over 100 million views. The podcast interviews people from across the political spectrum.[12]

He has appeared on various other podcasts, including one episode of the Joe Rogan Experience, the world's largest podcast, as well as on Geoff Norcott's What Most People Think podcast.[15]

Since starting the Triggernometry podcast, his co-host Konstantin Kisin has described that the pair have become "hate figures in the world of comedy".[16]
