Fritz Huser

Fritz Huser (born June 15, 1952, in Wettingen) is a Swiss painter and illustrator.

Life

Fritz Huser grew up in Wettingen, Fribourg and on the Gotthard Pass. He completed an apprenticeship as an interior decorator and then worked in theater, cinema and on Swiss Television. Since 1984 he has concentrated on painting.[1]

After a study trip to Provence, he began experimenting with sand and pigments from colored chalk rocks. In the process, he developed a technique with which he continues to work today. This results in his characteristic colors and structures. The picture surfaces are dry and grainy, the themes poetic, atmospheric and playful.

Since 1999 Fritz Huser has been artist in residence in the historic Müllerhaus in Lenzburg. In addition to numerous exhibitions and commissioned works, Huser opens the "Huser Kunst Kiosk" (Huser's Art Kiosk) in the Müllerhaus every year with his wife Brigitte.[1][2]

Fritz Huser lives with his wife in Beinwil am See, Lenzburg, and on the Gotthard.[3]
