In July 2016, Garage Magazine became a wholly owned subsidiary of Brooklyn, New York–based Vice Media.[1]

On May 15, 2023, Vice Media formally filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, as part of a possible sale to a consortium of lenders including Fortress Investment Group, which will, alongside Soros Fund Management and Monroe Capital, invest $225 million as a credit bid for nearly all of its assets.[5]

Staff

In 2014, Garage launched a smartphone application.[8][9] By scanning certain pages of the magazine with the application, users are granted access to extra digital content.
