Ganga News
Ganga News is an Indian News Agency established in October 2022 by Neelu Kumari.[1] Initially it was started as digital news media in 2016, to cover local political news, crime reports, social issues of Bihar.[2]

After the success of its digital news media, in 2022 Ganga News Network decided to start national news agency, and registered itself as broadcast and news agency. It also started providing news in different regional languages.
Background
The website of Ganga News provides news updates, information on sports, events, travel, entertainment, business, lifestyle, videos, and classifieds in different Indian languages.[3]
It is owned by owned by Ganga News Network, part of the media conglomerate JGMN. It is available in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Bangla. Recently, Ganga News Network has announced the launch of broadcast version of its digital media Ganga News. Now, It will function in all three formats: paper, digital and broadcast.[4]
Distinctive features
The ground input for the Ganga News is provided by rural journalists. Neelu Kumari is the Editor-in-Chief and has been working since the news agency was started in 2016. The news agency specialises in reporting local news and social issues like reports on violence against women, discrimination, local administration, political surveys from remote areas.
Awards and recognition
In 2018, Ganga News digital media was awarded the Jayanti Prasad Award.[5] In 2020, the digital media was awarded the Jila Patrakrita award, Jehanabd. Following this, plans to expand the digital media were made.
