Giuseppe Moretti (botanist)
Giuseppe Moretti (30 November 1782 in Roncaro – 1 December 1853) was an Italian botanist.[1]
He served as a professor of botany and as director of the botanical gardens at the University of Pavia[2] (1826–1853). The genus Morettia (family Brassicaceae) was named in his honor by Augustin Pyramus de Candolle in 1821.[3][4]
