Henderson Hall, Newcastle

Henderson Hall is a historic Grade II listed building in Heaton, Newcastle upon Tyne, England.[1]

History

The old hall was built from 1833 to 1839, and the new hall was built from 1929 to 1932.[2] In 1932, the building was opened as halls of residence for Newcastle University.[3] By 2023, the halls had been "empty for a few years".[4]

On 8 June 2023, firefighters were called to a large fire which had damaged the building.[5] A person was arrested on suspicion of arson.[6]
