Hin Lek Fai, Hua Hin
Hin Lek Fai (Thai: หินเหล็กไฟ) is a tambon (subdistrict) of Hua Hin district, Prachuap Khiri Khan province, western Thailand.

History
It is named after a local hill "Khao Hin Lek Fai" (เขาหินเหล็กไฟ, "flintstone hill")[lower-alpha 1]. The hill is a scenic viewpoint of Hua Hin, it is also known locally as "Radar Hill". It is only 3 km (1.9 mi) west of downtown Hua Hin.
This viewpoint allows visitors to see the entire of city of Hua Hin from above, Khao Takiab Hill (boundary between Hua Hin and Suan Son Pradiphat Beachs) and at the far-sighted in Cha-am.[1]
The subdistrict was planted in 1951 under the name "Khao Hin Lek Fai" and only "Hin Lek Fai" in 1972.[2][3]
Geography
Most of the area is plateau. The soil type is sandy. Hin Lek Fai is considered the uppermost part of Hua Hin and Prachuap Khiri Khan.
Neighbouring subdistricts are (from the north clockwise): Rai Mai Phatthana, Hua Hin, Thap Tai, and Nongphlab, respectively. All of them are in Hua Hin, except Rai Mai Phatthana belongs to Cha-am, Phetchaburi province.
Administration
The entire area is under the administration of Subdistrict Administrative Organization (SAO) Hin Lek Fai.
