Hongqi HS3

The Hongqi HS3 and the pure electric Hongqi E-HS3 are subcompact luxury SUVs manufactured by the Chinese manufacturer FAW under the Hongqi marque positioned under the Hongqi H5 mid-size sedan.[1]

The original Hongqi E-HS3 was launched in 2018 as a pure electric vehicle exclusively. Previewed by a preproduction concept during the 2018 Beijing Auto Show,[2][3] there are two versions of the powertrain, one with a single 152 hp electric motor and one with two 152 hp electric motors leading to a 304 hp for the dual-motor option.[4]

The petrol-powered updated Hongqi entry level crossover SUV called the HS3 was unveiled during 2023 Auto Shanghai. The HS3 is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine producing 168 hp with front wheel drive as the entry model, or a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine producing 252 hp with either the front or all wheel drive options. The transmission is an 8-speed automatic gearbox.[5]
